AIA East Bay Regional and Urban Design Forum

Sarah Kuehl presented to the AIA East Bay Regional and Urban Design Forum about the reconnection of public access to the waters of the Oakland Estuary and San Francisco Bay. Projects discussed included Bridge Yard at John J. Sutter Regional Shoreline, Jack London Square, and the newly opened Township Commons at Brooklyn Basin. Topics included adaptive reuse, creating public space that is truly public, and the importance of spatial sequence and procession in landscape.

Mosswood Park Community Center and Park Master Plan Approved by Oakland City Council

“Oakland has launched an effort to design and build a new Community Center at Mosswood Park. The community is an essential partner in this effort, beginning with a Visioning and Master Plan Phase. Together we will envision the possibilities for the future Community Center and Park.”
