West Oakland Link
An elevated bicycle and pedestrian path 1.1 miles in length is proposed to connect West Oakland to the existing San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge Trail. Working with the West Oakland Environmental Indicators Group on community engagement, the design team is developing a very sensitive, local, and realistic design for the path. The proposed design will connect and support the opportunities of the bridge design and type selection and will knit the new structure into a neighborhood historically disturbed by large transportation goals.
